WizKidz Of Oz tuition was established in 2013 by Lia Pitskos, an accredited Cardiac Physiologist and experienced Vocational/Clinical Educator having worked within numerous school and clinical settings. Her specialty is delivering English and Maths assistance to students as well as teaching Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance to year 11 and 12 students.  With over 20 years experience in tuition of preschool, primary and secondary students, the aim was to inspire and motivate children to learn.  Not all children learn at the same rate or via the same mode of learning, therefore WizKidz Of Oz promotes learning for all children and with different abilities via the process of positive reinforcement and repetition. The topics covered are Maths ,English and health-based subjects for children aged 4-17 years of age. Students are not just handed worksheets, they are taught the foundations first, with the opportunity to ask questions in order to consolidate their learning.  Classes are interactive and all students are provided with resources to assist them with the varying stages of their individually tailored learning journey.  WizKidz Of Oz fosters a collaborative learning approach between tutor and student in order to achieve the best results.

Lia serves as the founder and brings her extensive expertise as a VET Teacher/Trainer & Assessor to the team. With a comprehensive background in vocational education and training, Lia is pivotal in developing and implementing effective educational programs. She holds a Bachelor of Science and post graduate qualifications in Cardiac Physiology and Education.

Christos Pitskos

Academic Tutor

As an English and Maths tutor, Christos offers valuable educational support to students. His commitment and proficiency in teaching both subjects ensure that students receive high-quality instruction and guidance. He has completed a Bachelor of Health Science degree and is working as a Medical Physiologist specialising in cardiac, respiratory and sleep diagnostic testing.

Academic Tutor

Deidree is a passionate and dedicated tutor who genuinely loves teaching and takes great pride in helping students grow in confidence and academic ability. She have over three years of tutoring experience, working with students from Grades 3 to 10 in Science, Mathematics, and English, as well as preparing students for competitive scholarship and selective entry examinations, including the John Monash Science School exam. Deidree is currently in the final year of her PhD, reading for a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine (subspecialty: Pharmacology).
